BIO

Samantha Scarlette blends alternative rock, emo, pop punk, and pop rock into a sound that’s both nostalgic and fresh. Hailing from the Hudson Yards neighborhood of NYC (by way of Saddle River, NJ) and now based in Los Angeles, she’s been skateboarding since she was 9 and picked up a guitar at 12, shaping her music with the same fearless energy.

Her influences span from 90s alt-rock icons like Smashing Pumpkins, Hole, and Jane’s Addiction to 2000s emo favorites like The Used, Good Charlotte, Incubus, and Deftones, with a touch of new wave from The Cure and Joy Division. After a skateboarding accident at 19, she unexpectedly discovered her ability to write music—turning a setback into a creative breakthrough.
Since then, she’s released several projects, including Violent Delights + Violent Ends (produced by Hiili Hiilesmaa who produced HIM & The 69 Eyes) and 2023’s Disintegration. She also hosted a paranormal radio show, “Blackout with Samantha Scarlette” for Idobi Radio, embracing her love for the mysterious and unconventional.
A film school grad with a strong eye for aesthetics, Samantha draws inspiration from directors like Stanley Kubrick and Sofia Coppola, ensuring her music is as visually compelling as it is sonically. Whether it’s late-night drives, introspective moments, or anthems for moving on, her music is made for those who feel deeply and love fearlessly.
